Lumen Naturals CoQ10 definitely had some positive aspects. We particularly liked that the capsules and contents are 100% vegetarian, free from gluten, dairy, allergens, soy, and contain only non GMO ingredients. We also liked that there the company offers a 60 day money back guarantee. It is not common for a company to extend their return policy to unopened bottles of a supplement but Lumen Naturals does accept opened bottles. On the negative side, the price for a 30 capsule bottle of pills is very high compared to competitors at $36.99 (plus shipping). There was no discount when buying in bulk. If you take 2 pills per day, a $36.99 bottle of 30 capsules will only last 15 days. In addition, we felt like the daily recommended dose of 1-2 pills per day (a total daily dose of 400mg) might be excessive since most research says that one should not exceed 250mg per day of CoQ10. Two capsules of 200mg per day is probably above and beyond what the body can handle. We were also disappointed to see that Bioperine is missing from the ingredients' list in this supplement since Bioperine is a key ingredient for enhancing the absorption of CoQ10. When looking at the product reviews, we found a mixed spectrum of opinions. Many reviewers were disappointed with the product stating that the supplement provided no perceptible changes in their heart health. Although the company website claims you will see results in as few as 7 days, these claims are hard to quantify and highly subjective. We suggest that you seek out a better value for money supplement which has a dosage closer to the recommended daily allowance of CoQ10.
