Product Claims of Optimum Nutrition CoQ10

In this review, we are taking a closer look at Optimum Nutrition CoQ10. This is a dietary supplement that the manufacturer claims plays an important role in energy production. The purpose of this product is to support heart health and support optimal cellular energy production. Other benefits of CoQ10 include slowing the effects of aging, protecting cognitive health, improving metabolic functions and improving heart health.

Ingredients

Coenzyme Q10 100mg
Other ingredients: Rice Bran Oil, Gelatin, Vegetable Glycerine, Purified Water, Lecithin, d-alpha-tocopherol, Yellow Beeswax, Zinc Oxide, Annatto Powder.
This supplement is lacking the key ingredient BioPerine or black pepper extract, which is known to promote better CoQ10 absorption. The lack of this ingredient might make this supplement less effective. The ingredients are not vegetarian and the supplement contains extra fillers.

Summary Of Our Optimum Nutrition CoQ10 Review

Optimum Nutrition CoQ10 appealed to us for several reasons. The product contains 150 pills which is enough to last five months if taking one pill daily. At only $31.99 per bottle, this represents good value for money. We liked that the pills are in a softgel format and easy to swallow. We liked that there was free shipping when spending over $25. Among the negative comments we have are that this supplement is lacking the key ingredient BioPerine or black pepper extract, which promotes  CoQ10 absorption. The lack of this ingredient might make this supplement less effective. The softgels are not vegetarian so many people might have a problem with this. We found that compared to other supplements on the market, the dose size for this supplement is too small. Other brands touted 250mg per day as the ideal amount of CoQ10. Also the ingredients contained many extra "filler" ingredients meaning each capsule is not delivering a pure form of CoQ10. There were very few reviews to be found and the ones we did find were very mixed with many saying the supplement were no help at all. Optimum Nutrition only accepts returns within 30 days and only when buying directly from their site. Also you must provide your Purchase Order number as received when your order was placed through the Site, and finally although they accept returns of opened bottles, there must be 75% or more of the product is unused. Lastly we did not see that there any special discounts offered for first time buyers, nor if you are buying in bulk. We feel there are more effective CoQ10 supplements with better guarantee policies out there.
